FOLK DANCING RULES
(To be read in conjunction with the Festival Rules in the White Section)
All dances set must be danced.
No marks are given for dress.
Light shoes are to be worn, except in hard shoe Classes.
The size of the dancing space will be approximately 20 ft square.
A competitor, if otherwise eligible, may dance in any number of teams, provided each team is in a different Class.
The numbers of repetitions of Long-way dances are at the Adjudicator’s discretion.
Candidates must supply their own tapes/CDs. These will be played on Festival equipment. All music must be on individual tapes/CDs, ready to play.
The Committee reserve the right to combine or divide Classes if necessary.
FOLK DANCE - JUNIOR SECTION
Classes are open to all competitors aged 18 & under on January 1st 2010.
Entrance Fees:
Solo Classes £5.00
Two, Three or Foursome £4.00 per person
Team or Group £20.00
The Closing Date for all Entries is: 1st December 2009.
